Riding a quad on a road or another route open to public traffic requires a licence that matches the category of the specific vehicle. This also applies to unpaved roads open to public traffic. Permission and local restrictions must be checked separately for private and forest tracks. All Zagorje Rent quads require a valid category B licence and a driver aged at least 18. Jezerišće is often less than an hour from western Zagreb, while the journey from the city centre takes about an hour. From there, rides are self-guided through the Zagorje hills and local roads: you can follow predefined routes or agree another route of your choice before setting off.
Requirements for Zagorje Rent quads
All quads are road registered for two people. Rental can be arranged for one to six people, using up to three quads with up to three drivers riding at the same time. Each quad carries one driver and one passenger, and the passenger may be under 18. If you are bringing a younger passenger, mention this when booking so the conditions and a suitable helmet can be confirmed in advance.
Every person who may drive must meet the category B requirement. If you want to swap drivers during the rental, arrange it before arrival. The second driver must also be at least 18 and hold a valid category B licence.

Why the answer is not identical for every quad
The word “quad” describes a type of vehicle, but it does not identify its legal registration category. The Croatian Ministry of the Interior states that category AM covers mopeds and light quadricycles, while a category B licence also grants the right to drive a quadricycle. You should therefore not decide what licence is required for somebody else's quad, another model or another rental company based only on appearance or engine size.
There is no ambiguity for Zagorje Rent: these particular quads are road registered and a valid category B licence is a rental requirement. If you only hold category AM or A, you do not meet the driver requirement for these quads.

Bring your original identity document and driving licence to the handover. Plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the agreed time. Handover itself takes up to 10 minutes and covers the document check, vehicle arrangements and essential instructions before departure.
