A first quad ride should begin with getting to know the vehicle, not with full throttle. At Zagorje Rent, arrive 10 to 15 minutes early for the document and equipment check and a short briefing. Rides are self-guided, and a brief practice can be arranged for beginners depending on their experience.

What happens when you arrive

Bring your identity document and driving licence, then confirm who will drive and who will ride as a passenger. Drivers may swap only when this has been arranged in advance and every driver meets the rental requirements.

At handover, you receive a short explanation of the quad, your helmet and the agreed route. You can use the published route or arrange another route in advance. Your first few minutes on the quad

A quad handles differently from a car and does not feel the same as a motorcycle either. Keep a steady pace at first, look well ahead and leave more room for braking. Smooth movements matter more than speed on bends, climbs and uneven ground.

  • learn where the throttle, brakes and main switches are,
  • check that you can sit securely and hold the handlebars comfortably,
  • move off without a sudden burst of throttle,
  • keep the agreed distance from the quad ahead,
  • slow down as soon as you lose a clear view of the trail or group.

If you are riding with a passenger

Each quad is registered for two people. A passenger changes its weight and handling, so set off only when they are seated properly and you both know how you will communicate during the ride.

How long should a first booking be?

One hour can be enough for a short introduction. Two to four hours leave more room for a relaxed pace, breaks and getting used to the terrain. Compare the options in our guide to rental prices and duration.
